Privacy Policy
Nattsol needs no account. Your baby’s log stays on your phone, and in your own iCloud if you share it. We collect as little as possible and sell nothing.
Controller: Frekvens AS, Norway, org. no. 821 787 912.
The short version
- No account. Nattsol never asks for your name, email or phone number.
- Your baby’s log stays on your phone. We never receive it.
- If you share the log, it syncs through your own iCloud. We cannot read it.
- Anonymous usage statistics are sent only if you say yes. You can change your answer at any time.
- No ads, no tracking, no selling of data.
In the app
Your baby’s log. The name, birth date, sleeps, feeds, diapers, weights and notes you enter are stored on your phone. They never reach us.
Sharing. If you share the log, it is stored in your own iCloud account and shared through iCloud, under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We have no access to it. You can stop sharing at any time.
Reminders. If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled on your phone. We do not receive the times.
Usage statistics, only if you say yes. When you first set up Nattsol, the app asks whether it may send anonymous usage statistics. Nothing is sent before you say yes, and you can change your answer at any time in the app’s settings. The statistics are events such as "plan opened" or "sound played", with a random ID, the app version and the iOS version. The ID is not linked to your name, email or Apple ID, and the events never contain your baby’s details or the times you log. They are stored in the EU and used only to improve Nattsol, never for advertising. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in the app’s settings.
Purchases. In-app purchases are made with your Apple ID, and Apple processes the payment. We never receive your name, Apple ID or payment details. To confirm and restore purchases, the app uses a purchase service that receives a random user ID and, after a purchase, the product and its status. Legal basis: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Crash reports. If you have chosen in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. You decide this in your iPhone’s settings.
Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and your message, and use them only to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
On this website
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, ads or trackers. It loads no fonts or scripts from other companies. When you visit, our hosting provider processes your browser’s request, including your IP address, only to deliver the page and keep it secure.
Who processes data for us
- Apple runs the App Store, in-app purchases and iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy.
- A provider of product analytics receives the anonymous usage statistics, only if you said yes, and stores them in the EU.
- A purchase service confirms and restores purchases.
- Our hosting provider delivers this website.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EEA. Where they do, the transfer is based on the EU standard contractual clauses. We do not sell or rent out personal data.
How long we keep data
- Your baby’s log: on your phone, and in your iCloud if you share it, until you delete it or the app.
- Usage statistics: only as long as they help us improve the app, then they are deleted.
- Purchase records: as long as needed to confirm and restore a purchase, or as the law requires.
- Emails: as long as needed to answer and follow up.
Children
Nattsol is made for parents and caregivers. What you enter about your baby stays on your phone, and in your own iCloud if you share it. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can withdraw your consent to usage statistics at any time in the app’s settings. Because the statistics are anonymous, we usually cannot link them to you, but write to us and we will help as far as we can. We answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or to the data protection authority where you live.
